BFZ Planeswalker

Kiora

Planeswalkers are a very interesting part of the magic universe. Interesting enough they are really another player in the game. One of the few planes walkers released in this set was Kiora, Master of the Depths. Unlike a previous Kiora her -8 ability is not as good as some would like so her price value has tanked a bit. This being said her plus one can be useful in most elemental land decks as using it you could in theory untap 2 elemental land creatures instead of just a creature and a land as they count as both. Her minus 2 ability is like a careful study making it good especially in a re animator instance but you can not put any instants of sorceries into your hand as well as enchantments and equipments making it not as useful to many. Overall i'm going to give Kiora a 3-5 stars for this go around.

Another great thing about this set was the full art lands. They look beautiful and there is not as much boring empty space on the card. These cards were like the ultimate eye candy for players as they are just phenomenally great looking cards.

Battle For Zendikar

This was just a beautiful set all around,the lands especially. Opened a few packs today and found a shock land. For those who do not know what a shock land is it is a land that if you pay 2 life when it comes into play it comes into play untapped. The great part about it is that the land is a duel land so it functions as 2 types of basic lands all rolled into one. These lands are very useful because you can fetch for them and in this instance (see card pick) if I  have to search either a mountain or plains I can get this card out instead as it counts as both.
